It was full of water from the driven rain. We watched her body and the coffin being lowered in to the hole that had been already been dug for her. I stayed right by her side and never let her go. I followed my mother to the ghostly graveyard behind the church. I looked up to the towering church and the trees that had grown over it. The wind bellowed and was sharp on my checks.

We walk outside into the dark and shadowy air. I could hear the harsh rain beating down on the old and decayed roof of the church. No one spoke just the cold air whispering in my ears as the music played. My father face was wasted and pale on the other side of me. I hear my mother’s sobs as she sits with her head bowed next to me. My face was still as I watched the coffin. I’m pretty sure it’s my own imagination…Right? It was just some weird day-dream probably. For a brief moment I blinked, and when I opened my eyes he had gone.

He then turned his head, moving his entire body to face to the left as he stared up at…Me? I stared back at him, my eyes widening. Rain drops landing on his face at a fast rate. He slowly turned his head upwards, staring up at the sky. He suddenly stopped in his tracks, letting his umbrella down and letting it fall beside him. Poor guy, he was probably walking home, he looked soaked to the bone, his clothes dripping. It looked like at any moment it was about to rip into pieces. An old man hobbled along the pavement, weakly holding his umbrella above his head. Except, it looked like there was somebody. There was nobody crazy enough to go for a walk in this weather, so the street was isolated. The rain hurled down from the sky, leaving large puddles across the street.

It really was late, and yet they still weren’t back? The wind whistled like wind chimes outside of my window, harshly beating at the panes. My blood! The doll, it was alive it as attacking me but warned me not to scream otherwise my family would die! From that day forward I called him CHUCKY! I went to check but when I looked down I was standing in a pool of blood. I told my mother and she said it must had fallen off the bed. I placed him on my pillow so he would be comfy for when I came home! It was such a long day! I needed a friend but when I walked in my doll had gone. One day I went for a picnic with my family I wasn’t allowed to take my doll with me. The fear needed to drift away! It started with that stupid doll. I can’t live my life frightened of little things scared straight when I’m on my own and in the dark. This was happening on to much of a daily bases it needed to stop. I hadn’t done anything to be haunted! I didn’t deserve the fright, living my life expecting to die. Zach Laing is the Nation Network’s news director and senior columnist. It started happening again the visions the noises the fear! I knew something was going on. Edmonton has a good matchup with the Arizona Coyotes Wednesday, before beginning a more difficult stretch next week against the Vegas Golden Knights, Pittsburgh Penguins and the Seattle Kraken in the next week.Įdmonton’s right side of Bouchard, Cody Ceci and Tyson Barrie will need to step up big with their opposite side players banged up. The hope is for Edmonton that Keith won’t be gone for long. The other two are journeyman defenseman Kris Russell and William Lagesson, who has played just 27 NHL games. Rookie Phillip Broberg is a likely candidate to slide up to the top pair alongside another young guy in Evan Bouchard, who has looked good playing in his first full NHL season. “I hope this isn’t a situation where he’s got a long-standing back issue which he is trying to play through, like Parayko last year,” Grewal continued. Harjas Grewal, a resident doctor at the University of Manitoba Family Medicine’s department who tweets about NHL injuries, said while “a bit extreme,” it’s possible Keith suffered a strain to his oblique or another muscle.
